Lithuanian Youth Council implements the project “Strengthening the Participation of the Lithuanian Youth Council Organizations in Public Administration and Decision-Making” co-financed by the European Social Fund.
The project develops 4 proposals and solutions for the challenges of public governance, and at the same time aims to increase LiJOT participation in public governance and to strengthen this process. The current project helps to strengthen the competencies of LiJOT Members and Observers in the fields of advocacy, communication and research. Continuing activities of the project will ensure the constant strengthening of the members and solutions of systemic problems for youth policy - says LiJOT President A. Mikalauskas.
This weekend, the first training was held to familiarize the practical and theoretical research activities, examples of good and bad cases, the formulation of conclusions, strategic suggestions and recommendations.
K. Rekštytė, the representative of the Lithuanian School Students Union (LMS) who participated in the training, said that this is a great opportunity and an opportunity for all organizations to improve their knowledge and resources on how to carry out research. These pieces of training are an opportunity to learn how to check things that we do. The ongoing research would help us find out what are the key components that we should emphasize more in order to fully integrate the members of the organization into the activities and lifestyle of the organization, says E. Danyla, representative of the Lithuanian Youth Union "Step".
Organization representatives are still waiting for more training in research, communication, lobbying and advocacy.
